Today I got to see my second little 1A patient and it was so much fun! She was the six year old daughter of my dad's law partner that I got to hang out with all last weekend and boy did we have fun. She was infatuated with the low volume evacuator (or as she called it, "the sucker"). I got her all finished 45 minutes early but of course as she had no permanent teeth it was easy, clean, smooth sailing the whole time. I probably could have finished her faster if she didn't have such a wiggly little tongue but she was adorable. She just doesn't like cherry or mint so I ended up polishing her teeth with kids' bubble gum flavored Crest toothpaste which she liked. Disclosing was a treat for her too and at the end I gave her a pink glove balloon and she pranced on out with her mom showing off her new prizes. Oh I do love those 1A patients so far.
